Five Iron in Five Days Kieran Lappin decided to challenge himself to a major physical test which would last each day for five days. Starting at 6am the first test was a 3.8K swim at EmyLake, then 180k cycle, followed by a 42.2K marathon, which was 11 trips round Emy Lake. There was a total of 1131.5K over the five days and he completed the five day challenge at Emy Lake on Friday, July 25th. Everyone marvelled at his endurance and ability to carry out this massive challenge and many joined him along the way to encourage him even though they may have pulled out after a short time in comparison to the long hours used up by Kieran. He also decided to have a donation box for those who would subscribe and all money raise would be given to Truagh Special Needs. I was at Emy Lake on the final day and, like many others there, I marvelled at the fitness and ability he displayed. All I can say is - Well done Kieran.
